Perform at your best.
You’re already successful. You know how to set goals, stay focused and push through challenges to get results.
High performance isn’t about constantly pushing harder, doing more or trying to become someone different. You already have the skills, drive and qualities that have helped you succeed. Sometimes, it’s about learning how to use those more effectively.
High standards, focus and determination are qualities that drive success, but it can also create an unsustainable reality. Perfectionism can drive you to achieve great things, but maintaining those standards all the time, in every area of your life, is impossible. Being highly driven can help you achieve your goals but make it difficult to switch off. Often, there is also a nagging feeling that despite everything you’ve achieved, it’s still not enough. You can never win when you keep moving the goalposts and that is an exhausting way to live.
Clinical Hypnosis can help you work with the strengths you already have — shift unhelpful thinking patterns, strengthen focus, build genuine self-belief and allow for great flexibility with yourself and others.
Rather than changing who you are, the aim is to fine-tune what is already working and recognising where a different approach and perspective might serve you better.

I understand the pressures that can come with being someone who is driven, capable and used to performing at a high level. Having spent more than two decades working in television, I know what it’s like to work in fast-paced environments where expectations are high, deadlines are constant and there is always another goal to reach.
I also understand that the qualities that make you successful can sometimes become the very things that can make life harder. High standards can very easily turn into perfectionism, reinforcing the belief that no matter what you achieve, it’s never quite enough. I’ve experienced these challenges myself, which gives me a real understanding of how easily high performance can become out of balance.
It’s not about changing who you are. In fact, the goal is quite the opposite. You already have strengths that have helped you get where you are. My role is to help you recognise where those strengths may be working against you and develop a more flexible way of using them.
My approach is practical, personalised and without judgement. I’ll lead the therapeutic process, while you remain in control of your goals and the direction you want to take.
Clinical Hypnosis paired with Strategic Psychotherapy gives us a way to work with those deeply held patterns so that you can respond differently to pressure and create sustainable balance without losing the drive, ambition and standards that make you who you are.
You don’t have to become less ambitious to feel better. Sometimes, it’s about learning how to make your strengths work for you — rather than against you.
Unlike some therapeutic approaches Strategic Hypnosis focuses on getting long lasting results in as short a time as possible.
You do not need to spend a lot of time regurgitating your life story over and over again. We look at what you are doing, assess how to interrupt it, and hypnotically install an interruption to that changes the way you experience and manage your pain. There is a cost to therapy, and there is a cost to not doing the therapy.

I highly recommend Jen as I felt so comfortable and calm during our sessions. She is so friendly, warm and gentle. She created a safe, judgment free space where I felt nurtured and empowered with tools to overcome many issues that I have struggled with for so many years, some I wasn't even aware of before our sessions. Thanks so much Jen

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a transformative practice that uses hypnosis to reach beyond the conscious mind, where we often encounter self-imposed barriers. By bypassing these limitations, we can delve directly into the unconscious mind to facilitate significant change. In a state of focused attention, you’ll find it easier to ignore external distractions and embrace tailored suggestions that align with your specific goals. This method is not only safe but also allows you to remain fully aware and in control throughout the process. Many describe the experience as being in a relaxed state where they are present yet feel an intriguing sense of detachment—perfect for fostering personal growth.
Strategic psychotherapy is a focused, goal-driven approach that emphasises identifying and achieving specific therapeutic aims. Rather than delving deeply into the reasons behind a problem, it prioritises where you want to go. Understanding the root of a challenge may not lead to solutions; instead, concentrating on how to address the issue enables us to formulate effective strategies for lasting change.
Strategic psychotherapy integrates various therapeutic models, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and brief therapeutic techniques. Its main aim is to empower clients with practical tools and strategies to effectively manage their concerns.
Anyone seeking to break free from the barriers that hold them back in life can find value in this approach. If you’re weary of endlessly discussing your issues without seeing tangible results, and you’re ready to take actionable steps toward change, this therapy could be the right fit for you. It’s designed for those who are motivated to move forward, embrace practical strategies, and achieve their goals—transforming their challenges into opportunities for growth.
During your first therapy session, we’ll explore the reasons that brought you to seek help and identify your treatment goals. We’ll discuss your medical history and any current challenges you may be facing. Together, we’ll create a personalised plan that aligns with your objectives and sets the stage for your therapeutic journey.
Choosing a hypnotherapist is a key step in your journey, and here’s why I could be the right match for you:
If you’re looking for a hypnotherapist who blends modern practices with a focus on outcomes, let’s discuss how I can help you reach your goals.
The frequency of your therapy sessions will be based on your unique needs and aspirations. Many clients attend weekly, while others may find less frequent visits more suitable. Together, we will establish a personalised plan that aligns with your goals. As this approach emphasises results, extended therapy over long periods is generally unnecessary.
It’s important to remember that there’s no correct way to experience hypnosis. Although some people think that a deeper state of relaxation is required for optimal results, this is a misconception. The success of your session is based on your openness and active participation in the experience, not solely on how relaxed you feel. You can still benefit from the process even if you don’t reach a profound state of relaxation.
During a hypnosis session, you can expect the following steps:
Hypnosis is definitely not like sleeping. During hypnosis, you experience a profound sense of relaxation combined with focused attention. You remain fully conscious and aware of your surroundings, making it a unique state distinct from sleep.
No, clinical hypnosis is not like the theatrical performances you see in movies or on stage. It is a legitimate form of therapy often integrated into a comprehensive treatment plan alongside traditional approaches. You cannot be made to do anything against your will, and you won’t disclose any secrets you want to keep private. While hypnosis can enhance your ability to absorb suggestions, it does not control your actions or force you into any experiences you don’t choose to have.
