A gentle, non-invasive
SOLUTION to Anxiety
Anxiety can feel like your mind never switches off. You might find yourself overthinking, anticipating worst-case scenarios or trying to control things outside of your control. Uncertainty can be difficult to sit with, and even when there is nothing more that can be done about a situation, your mind keeps looping back into the problem. Switching off, putting things aside and staying present can feel near impossible at times.
Over time, this cycle can affect your work, relationships and overall wellbeing. The constant mental load can leave you feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.
Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy can help you recognise and change the patterns that keep the anxiety going. By working on areas such as assessing situations more realistically, managing uncertainty and learning to compartmentalise effectively, you can begin to change how you respond to anxiety.
Clinical Hypnosis allows us to work with the subconscious patterns that can keep anxiety going. By addressing these patterns at a foundational level, we can begin to create meaningful and lasting change.

My understanding of anxiety is both professional and personal. My own experience began after the birth of my first child and during a very difficult period in my life. I know how challenging it can be when your mind won’t switch off, uncertainty becomes difficult to manage, and the same thoughts keep demanding your attention. That experience shaped my passion for helping others to find a better way forward.
I’m a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Strategic Psychotherapist, trained by Gordon Young, a second-generation student of renowned American psychiatrist and psychologist Milton Erickson. As a mother, with a background in business and more than two decades in the television industry, I have a first-hand experience of the pressures and expectations people face, both professionally and personally. In today’s rapidly changing world, with advances in AI and growing uncertainty about the future, those pressures can feel even more challenging to navigate.
My approach combines Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy to help you recognise and change the patterns that keep you stuck. Often, you know that overthinking isn’t helping and genuinely want to do things differently yet still find yourself falling back into the same familiar patterns. This isn’t a sign of weakness; this is just how the mind works.
By working with the subconscious patterns that influence how you think, feel and respond, we can create change that goes beyond simply understanding the problem.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt or the pressure to get everything right, my work focuses on helping you think more clearly, respond differently to challenges and develop a greater sense of control.
I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and understood. You don’t need to have all the answers before we begin. My role is to help you understand what’s keeping you stuck and work with you to find a more effective way forward.
Great therapy teaches you to operate differently in the world. I want you to both feel better and do better, so I send you home with extra tools to help you discover a better you.
Unlike some therapeutic approaches Strategic Hypnosis focuses on getting long lasting results in as short a time as possible.
You do not need to spend a lot of time regurgitating your life story over and over again. We look at what you are doing, assess how to interrupt it, and hypnotically install an interruption to the negative thought, feeling or behaviour. Many people get significant results after just a couple of sessions, and get great results after just 6 sessions. Don’t waste another day. There is a cost to therapy, and there is a cost to not doing the therapy.

I highly recommend Jen as I felt so comfortable and calm during our sessions. She is so friendly, warm and gentle. She created a safe, judgment free space where I felt nurtured and empowered with tools to overcome many issues that I have struggled with for so many years, some I wasn't even aware of before our sessions. Thanks so much Jen

Clinical Hypnotherapy employs hypnosis as a powerful tool to move beyond the conscious mind, where we often create barriers and limitations. By accessing the unconscious mind, we can initiate meaningful and lasting changes. In a state of focused attention, you’ll find it easier to tune out distractions and be receptive to personalised suggestions designed to align with your goals for health and well-being. This approach is both safe and effective, allowing you to remain fully aware of your surroundings and engaged in the process. Many clients describe the experience as being present yet feeling a sense of detachment, creating an ideal environment for transformation.
Strategic psychotherapy is a goal-focused therapeutic method designed to help clients identify and achieve specific objectives. It is primarily results-driven, emphasising where you wish to go rather than delving into the reasons behind your issues. Understanding the roots of a problem may not lead to resolution; thus, focusing on the mechanics of the problem allows us to devise effective strategies for lasting change.
Strategic psychotherapy draws on multiple therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused approaches, and brief therapy. Its primary goal is to empower clients by providing them with effective strategies and practical tools for addressing their concerns.
This therapy is ideal for individuals who feel stuck and are eager to overcome obstacles that impede their progress in life. If you’re frustrated with continually revisiting your problems without finding solutions, and you’re prepared to take decisive action, strategic psychotherapy can empower you to create lasting change. It caters to those who want to shift from merely talking about their challenges to actively working toward resolution, fostering a sense of empowerment and direction.
In your initial therapy session, we’ll delve into the motivations behind your decision to seek therapy and outline your goals for our work together. We’ll review your medical history and any symptoms you might be experiencing. By the end of the session, we’ll collaboratively develop a tailored plan that reflects your aspirations and expectations for treatment.
Finding the right hypnotherapist is essential for your success, and here’s what sets me apart:
If you’re in search of a hypnotherapist who combines innovative techniques with a strong emphasis on results, let’s talk about how I can support you in achieving your objectives.
How often you attend therapy will depend on your individual goals and circumstances. Most clients find weekly sessions beneficial, but some may prefer a different schedule. We’ll collaborate to create a customised treatment plan that fits your needs. Given that this therapy focuses on achieving results, ongoing sessions for long durations are usually not required.
There’s no definitive way to experience hypnosis, and it’s a myth that you must enter a deep state to see results. The success of your session is determined more by your willingness to engage and participate than by how relaxed you feel. Many clients find that they can achieve positive outcomes without reaching an intense level of relaxation, so don’t worry if that doesn’t happen for you.
Here’s what you can typically expect during a hypnosis session:
No, hypnosis is not the same as sleeping. While it involves a deep state of relaxation, you remain fully aware and focused. It’s a heightened state of concentration where your mind is alert, allowing you to engage with the process.
No, clinical hypnosis is not a form of entertainment or a magic act. It is a recognised therapeutic technique that may be used in conjunction with conventional medical treatments. You retain full control over your actions and will not be compelled to reveal anything you wish to keep confidential. Hypnosis facilitates a greater openness to suggestions, but it does not override your free will or force you into any unwanted experiences.
